Investment Services
Asset Planning, Inc. is a fee-only, registered investment advisory firm dedicated to serving individuals, trusts, and pension plans. As fiduciaries, we put your best interests first—always.
Your dedicated advisor will create a customized investment portfolio based on your financial goals, personal risk tolerance, and timeline. We don’t just set it and forget it—your portfolio is actively monitored, with adjustments made as needed to rebalance, minimize taxes, reduce risk, or seek more optimal investments.
We welcome regular in-person or remote meetings to review your progress, revisit your investment strategy, and ensure your financial objectives stay on track.
As a fee-only firm, we are compensated solely by you—our client. We do not accept commissions, which means our investment decisions are unbiased and designed with your best interest in mind. Our asset management fee starts at 1% and decreases as your portfolio reaches predefined breakpoints (outlined in our advisory contract). This transparent, percentage-based fee structure aligns our goals with yours: when your portfolio grows, we both benefit—and when it declines, we both feel the impact.
Our investment approach includes a wide range of carefully researched options, such as individual stocks, bonds, ETFs, mutual funds, CDs, preferred stocks, MLPs, and REITs. Our team performs due diligence on each security, so your advisor can confidently build a well-diversified, thoughtfully tailored portfolio.

How It Works
Your planning journey starts with a discovery phase, where we’ll provide questionnaires and a document checklist to prepare for our first meeting. During this meeting, we’ll review your financial data, define your goals, and establish the scope of our planning engagement.
From there, we analyze your current situation and create your financial plan. A follow-up meeting will be scheduled to present our findings, walk through the recommendations, and answer your questions.
We are fee-only advisors—we don’t sell products or earn commissions. You’ll receive unbiased advice, and we’re here to support you in implementing your plan at your request. Regular reviews are encouraged as your life and goals evolve.
